What is art to you and why?

Art to me is any thing that makes me stop, take notice and / or want to own it.
As a general rule for photography I ask myself:
1. Do I want look at it more than once?
2. Would I hang it on MY wall at home?
If I answer yes to either, then to me it is art.

I never thought about my art like you suggested. I have tried to evaluate some of my photos by this role. Well...:-) I must to "del" many of them:-)

For me art is "some thing what I never seen before". And the more new it is the more art it is for me.; ▶ Reply to This

In a younger world, I was a watercolor artist, but arthritis has make it hard to do the detail work that I liked to do. Now I do it with my camera.; ▶ Reply to This
