These are my latest photos, they are from a salvage yard I visited this apst Saturday. I just bought Lightroom2, and have been experimenting with the features. I don't like to photoshop my photos too much, because I believe it takes away from the "photograph" element. I try to stay around the features you would use in a darkroom. But that is just my opinion, and we all have one..lol.. Is anyone else using Lightroom?
Yes, all the cars are old and that is the condition they are in. I used Lightroom to make some adjustments to brightness and contrast. I also adjusted the hue for a little for more of a B&W/sepia look to Dashboard and Grill, they didn;t have much color to start with. Very little cropping, and none with tree truck. Then I finish them off with some burning around the edges. I never add objects to my photos that weren't there originally, plus I only use cloning when there is an obvious distraction in the shot (like the tip of someones shoe).
Great job on the photos! My dad owned a small wrecking yard for 30 years. He once bought a 1929 Model A Ford coupe with a walnut tree growing out of the gas tank...:)
Stan, this grill is on a 1953 Buick Skylark. My dad was an avid Buick nut back in the day. Between the two of us, we owned 4 old Buick's from 1949 to 1956. Great shot by the way...
