Thanks Sharon for the comments I have not got them quite eating out my hand yet.

I use a 300mm lens and get as close to the feeders as they allow.

Not exactly a backyard bird but the state park near by was home to these snowy owls this winter. Here is my latest shot.

The little one is waiting his turn at the feeder and then the Cooper came along and everyone left!  LOL!  Eventually Mr. Cooper took off after something, but we don't think he managed to get it!   He sure was trying though!  LOL!

Love both pictures Ralph.  I just love Chickadees.  I live in Ontario in the summer and can sit and read a book and have birdseed in the other hand and they will come and feed from my hand...I feel honored to get that opportunity.  Also the picture of the Owl is fantastic.  Love the soft effect of the grass around such a magnificent bird.  Great job!
