Update on the Moscow Bridge - they lifted a large section of it yesterday onto the piers that were remaining and they anticipate it will be done by the Festival on June 4 -5. I will try to get some more pics this weekend (assuming I don't get rained out).

New construction of the old bridge. If you look closely you can see the old timbers and the new timbers mixed together.

This is looking from the Moscow side of the Flat Rock River to the Milroy side - west side to east side. You can see the "road" they put in to pull the structure down and then lift to the piers.

this is a fantastic post! Supposed to be completed in a couple weeks huh?! think they will make the deadline?

I have some pics that I took about 2 weeks ago that I haven't gotten posted yet, they have one span set on the piers and the other one in the process of finishing to set for the remaining length -- I have my doubts that it will be completed for the festival, but you never know with the Amish, after all they can raise a barn in a day -- why not complete a bridge.

These pictures were taken on May 9th in Moscow and Milroy of the progress on the bridge. This is the Flat Rock River that the bridge crosses.

The first pic is of the first span that was set in place a couple of weeks ago -- there is another one that's on the ground being completed to be set in place soon. They set the first one on the Moscow side and its about half-way across the river.

The Moscow Indiana Covered Bridge that was destroyed a couple of years ago by a tornado -- Its FINISHED, actually has been for a few months, but I have not been able to get out there until last Sunday, it was a beautiful sunny day. Hope you all enjoy the pics of the new bridge.
