The Photography Network - PictureSocial

Hey everyone! The DC for today is action photos. I want to see photos that illustrate movement in some way.

I will be closing this DC at (or as close as possible) to midnight tonight. Don't forget to post your new topics!

*** Entries DO NOT have to be sports-themed, the examples I have just happen to be sports.***

Great shot! I wouldn't want to be on the back of that horse!
Great photo Marie!
Thank you.
Lynn,,,that's his job.  He's a cowboy and this rodeo was the largest purse in the nation.  $200,000.  It was a two day event and I only went the first day..so I don't know the winner.
Thanks Paul.  Cool, maybe it's one of the highest purses in the nation then.  I'm just going by what someone told me, but thanks for the correction and the link.  I'll have to check that one out.  Are you a cowyboy!

great capture Marie.

Love your examples.  Nice post-production work on the first one.  I'm still learning how to do that!!!

Marie

Was it post production? One of the new small compact digi-cams (is it a Nikon?) has an action mode that does that totally terrific technique.
Yes, was done in post-production. I believe I was using a Nikon D300S for that shoot.

I know you're not supposed to put your horizons dead center, but I think it works here.
