HDR Photography

Now that HDR or HDRI is becoming more popular I thought it would be helpful if people could have a place to talk and help each other out with this challenging, yet exciting style of photography.

Finally someone else in this world who understands and uses HDR as it is meant to be used. Getting real pictuers and not something that looks as though it comes out of a comic book. Your pics are great Deneb. Well done.

Love HDR, but I find the overuse of the technique seems overwhelming and dated. I use HDR, primarily, for image information, I gather the available visual data then tone it down & soften it up to give it a completely different look without distorting the integrity of the image. Most HDR look way too sharp and unnatural.

Some examples are found in my NouelRiel Album. Most of all the images have been Triple Bracketed and given an HDR tonal adjustment using Photoshops various layer adjustments. Later I would soften all the sharp junk out, and allow the image to flow naturally. Check them out and let me know what you think.

This is just one of many. I love the HDR effects to my photos. It allows me to show my art side which is my backgraound. What do you think?

Ok, so is this an editing process or are the lens's or filters to buy?
