Is background too bright?

I like this photograph for the flow of the cascade, but I feel the bkg is a tad over blown. I did use a GND filter to help the cause, but I think it could be better Only other thought is to HDR. Your thoughts.

This is a beautiful photo. Composition, exposure, everything. I love the background just as it is. The bright area directly above the stream in the background is inviting and leads one into the picture. Excellent work!

I do not think the picture is blown at all. You have great detail in the highlights and the overall color is great. I would not change a thing! Good use if the ND filter as you preserved the balance of the sun in the trees with the brightness off the water in the same spot. One is not any different than the other!
