Scene from my home town. How can I improve?

How can I improve this picture? The motive is close to my home town and should be attractive to turists. The picture is taken at 8 am with a monopod./body>

reframe it using the rule of thirds....i'd focus on the trail.

judging from the direction the sun is coming up, you may want to try this at dusk when their is some color in the sky and the landscape gets that "glow"
