Photography Contest: Converse - I am a True Original
A. Promo Title: Converse Multiply UGC- I am a True Original
B. Promo Period: May 4 – August 2, 2009
C. Online Mechanics:
ABS-CBN Interactive, Inc. and Filcon Manufacturing Corp. (Converse) are launching a UGC campaign at Multiply called "Converse Multiply UGC- I am a True Original" The said promotion will be launched on May 4, 2009 12:00am (Monday) and will end on August 2, 2009 11:59pm (Sunday).
OFFICIAL RULES
1. Contest is open to all Filipino Multiply Users
2. Participant simply has to join the Converse Multiply Group Site to be able to join the
contest
3. Participant uploads picture, videos or artwork depicting on how wearing a Converse
pair makes them a 'true original'. A caption should be provided or copy in the Multiply
Group site
4. Caption should not be more than 10 words.
5. Participant must type in required contact details of contestants ( Name, birth date,
email, address and phone number)
6. Winners will be determined through online voting and through a panel of judges
Percentage breakdown :
60% - Judge – the entry with the highest score wins.
40% - Online voting – the top 5 entries from each category who got the
highest votes will be included in the final judging.
7. There will be a total of two (2) winners per category. One (1) winner per batch
(Category : Photo, Video and Artwork)
First batch : Entries submitted from May 4, 2009
until cut –off of June 21, 2009, 11:59pm
Second batch : Entries submitted from June 22, 2009
until cut-off of August 2, 2009, 11:59pm
8. There will be 2 dates :
First batch : June 22, 2009 at 10:00 am
Second batch : August 3, 2009 at 10:00 am.
9. All non-winning entries from the first batch will not be carried over to the second batch
of entries. Participants must upload their entries again after the cut-off date of the first
batch for their entries to be eligible.
10. Online voting mechanics
Member must join the Converse Multiply Group Site to be able to vote
Choose the best photo, video or artwork by clicking the vote button
11. The Panel of Judges will determine the winners according to the following criteria :
25% Presentation of Converse shoe
25% Message and Content of copy
25% Creativity and Originality
25% Over-all impact
Judges are:
1. Kit Santos – Marketing Manager, Converse Philippines
2. Barbara Escueta – Account Executive, ABS-CBN Interactive
3. Sheryll Reyes – Customer Marketing – ABS-CBN Interactive
12. Qualified entries/winners should conform to official rules of the promo and are
presumed to have read, understood and agreed to abide by its complete rules and
regulations.
13. Participants will retain copyright and ownership of their images. However by entering
the contest, participants agree to grant CONVERSE an exclusive, perpetual
royalty-free license to use the winning entries.
14. CONVERSE has the exclusive right to reproduce and circulate the winning entries,
and to use, copy, publish, print, and distribute the winning entries for commercial and
non-commercial purposes, without having to consult the photographer, videographer
or artist any compensation.
15. The owners of the winning entries retain the right to post their images on their
websites, blogs, or publish them newspapers and magazines, but not to enter them in
any other contest, or use them in any way defames or damages the CONVERSE
brand.
16. ABS-CBN/Converse reserves the right to block or remove communications or
materials that it determines to be (a) abusive, defamatory, or obscene, (b) fraudulent,
deceptive, or misleading, (c) in violation of a copyright, trademark or; other intellectual
property right of another or (d) violates any law or regulation or (e) offensive or
otherwise unacceptable to ABS-CBN/Converse at its sole discretion.
17. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission for the Sponsor and its agencies to use
winner's name and/or likeness for purposes of advertising and trade. Entrants (or
parent/legal guardian if entrant is deemed a minor) agree to release, discharge and
hold harmless ABS-CBN/Converse, its respective directors, officers, employees and
assigns, harmless from and against any and all liability and damages.
18. This promotion is open only to Filipino Multiply Users. Employees of Filcon
Manufacturing Corporation (Converse), ABS-CBN, its subsidiaries, and their relatives
up to the second degree of consanguinity or affinity are disqualified from the contest
and promotion.
19. ABS-CBN/Converse disclaims any liability for failure to receive or acknowledge
entries arising from force majeure, including acts of God, fires, floods, wars or other
disturbances, labor unrest, or other causes beyond its control.
20. Determining Winners and Prizes
a. From all entries earned from the cut-off period,
June 21, 2009, Sunday – 11:59 pm and
August 2, 2009, Sunday – 11:59 pm
the judges will choose based on the criteria above on the following dates :
June 22, 2009, Monday - 10:00 am and
August 3, 2009, Monday – 10:00 am
to award winners of Converse Gift Pack worth P3000 (Converse Shoes – P1650, Converse Shirt – P550 and Converse Bag – P800) per category. Winners of the contest will be posted on the converse multiply site.
The determination of winners starting May 4, 2009 12:00am (Monday) to August 2, 2009 11:59pm (Sunday) at 9th floor Eugenio Lopez Jr. Communications Center Building Cor. Mother Ignacia Avenue & Eugenio Lopez Jr. St. South Triangle, Quezon City.
c. Prizes in kind are transferable but not convertible to cash.
d. A participant may only win once per whole promo duration
e. Prizes shall be awarded only upon completion of entire validation process, resulting in the subscriber being identified as a legitimate winner.
f. Winners will be informed via telephone call and registered mail. No text notifications will be sent to the winner advising him/her that he/she won. The winner/s should claim their prize within 60 days from receipt of notification. Otherwise the prize will be forfeited in favor of ABS-CBN Interactive with prior DTI approval.
g. The prizes may be claimed at 9th Floor ELJCC Bldg Mother Ignacia cor. ELJ St Quezon City or at the nearest ABS CBN Regional TV or Radio Station as indicated in the registered mail. Winners will shoulder all costs that they would incur in securing their prize (Bus Fares, Taxi Fares, Gas, Parking, Meals, etc.).
h. The winner must present the following to an authorized ABS-CBN Interactive representative when claiming prize:
One (1) valid ID with complete real name, picture and correct address. Photocopies of any of the documents (i.e. birth certificate, marriage contract, SSS ID, driver's license, school ID and/or passport)
