Scenes with Mist or Fog - October 2011

This month the contest theme is Scenes with Mist or Fog. In the early morning or late evening, mist or groundfog can generate “artist’s light” as masses of water vapor in an area condense from coolness near ponds, rivers, etc or down in ravines and valleys. It burns off quickly though, so you have to anticipate it and get there early. PictureCorrect has a mist and fog photography tips article on the subject if you would like to learn more.

Enter a photo by joining the group and attaching the photo to your response in this discussion, not a new discussion.

Contest Rules:
1. Entry photos must be somehow related to Scenes with Mist or Fog.
2. If you enter a photo - it must be your own work.
3. Post-processing or photo editing is allowed, but keep in mind if you go overboard on it, people probably won't vote for your photo.
4. 1 photo per person per month.
5. Members can give their opinions about entries, and then the entries will be narrowed down to three in the last few days of the month for final voting in a new discussion.

Here is my entry of "Fog and Mist" for the month of October. This is my son and his friends on a hike. What a beautiful mist in the valley below. I thought the figures just added character to the photo;)

the place is always mist. Hwange Colliery Mine & Hwange Zesa Thermal Power Station contribute to this mist scene

i love taking pics. in the fog and mist it seems like you can get lost in what your doing.jamie

James, Port Bay is absolutely wonderful. It's a masterpiece. To download your pictures you need to click the button after link in the reply tool bar and browse for your picture and when you find it click ok after it finishes uploading then after you write your comment click add reply and your picture should appear like the others.
