Comment by Fred on January 16, 2012 at 8:39pm Thank you Paul for the info but
Please download any update from your own country server.
Updates:
Message Centre V2.1.0
ViewNX2 V2.2.5
NX2 V 2.3.0
View NX2 apart from the camera updates now edits the video files
NX2 There are still reports of problems running at 64 bit on other forums
Image Cache is now turned off by default, how many years has that taken?
Noise reduction has been worked on
ColorEffectPro still has problems working correctly
New cameras included
Yes Nikon updates their software as new cameras are brought out. The Nikon D4 has now been announced for delivery in February, expect another update for that camera. If you use the new message centre, you will be able to update without any problems
Comment by Paul Kumagai on January 16, 2012 at 3:16pm Don't know if anyone in this group uses Capture NX2 anymore, but here are some updates...
Capture NX 2 has been updated to 2.3.0
This is a 32-bit and 64-bit update

If you use Nik Software Color Efex 3.0 Complete Edition for Capture NX 2 on a 32-but system, make sure you install update 3.004 before you install update 2.3.0 for Caputre NX2.

If you are running CNX2 on a 64-Bit system, CNX2 2.3.0 updates CNX2 to 64-bit if it is on a 64-bit OS.

Comment by Fred on March 25, 2011 at 11:26pm Some people have problems with speed with Capture but nobody has been able to find the exact problem. Vists just does not like Nikon software.
Another thought, go to preferences - cache and clear out the cache that could be causing a problem. I think sombody actually deleted the folder for the cache and let the software re-instate it and did not have any more problems. Trouble is there are hardly any faults reported with View, difficult to help out, I shall have a little dig.

Comment by Fred on March 25, 2011 at 11:15pm Is windows installing the latest .NET upgrades? Capture and View NX rely heavily on .Net but in saying that I have never had a problem with View NX.
You could try installing the latest View NX from your local Nikon site instead of the version from the DVD
