Hey guys,

So, the flash on my Nikon D40 is not working and I was hoping someone might be able to help me! The flash pops up, however, it fails to actually flash! Any suggestions or reason as to why this may be happening?

Thanks!

There are only two items that I can think about for this problem.

1. You can set the function button so that when depressed the flash is off.

2. In the menu section find "Built in Flash" and make sure it is set to TTL and not Manual

apart from those, you may have a problem with your unit.
Sir try to Reset the future settings
