A Sharp '53 Chevy Pickup

Remember the "Hemi Under Glass" Barracuda?  It would run the entire quarter mile on it's rear wheels..  Of course, there was many more but not near as famous.  I saw a You Tube clip yesterday of a P T Cruiser with a Blown 440 engine that was a rear wheeler vehicle.  I've never seen or heard of this car but it's been noted to run 2500 feet on the rear wheels.  That was a wild little machine.

go to You Tube and try typing in wheelie cars or something close to that and see what pops up... This P T Cruiser just may be one of the videos...

Hi Steve. I remember as a kid, we always had a gazillion questions for Dick & he answered them all with his cigar in his mouth. I am sure we asked about the rear wheel thing but there is no way in hell I can remember his reasoning for it. My favorite thing as a kid was the wheelies the stock cars would do at the start of the race.

I remember some of Dick Landy's cars after looking at your link.  The one with the tubes coming out of the hood and the rear wheels moved forward.  I never understood the reasoning behind moving the wheels.  It had to do with---I don't know, I'm not even gonna guess....
