No David. The one I shot these with is the 70-300mm 1:4-5.6 ED, at 70mm in aperture mode, f8. These are constants for these shots.. The only variable is the ISO, and obviously, the resultant increase in speed for each ISO. I also have the 14-54mm and a prime 50mm. I get the same noise on all of them.
Hi Gang.
I don't know if I have a "noise" problem with my new E-30 or if I have an "expectations" problem. But it seems I get too much noise in everything but bright sunlight photos. Here are six "sky" shots at ISOs 100, 200, 400, 800, 1600 and 3200, in sequence, looking only for noise. Please look and tell me what you think. Would appreciate any help you can give.
David: I forgot to add: the first 15 photos on the link I provided are with the E-30. Also, this program apparently cut off half of my response to you. I just talked about some likes and dislikes, and a "noise" problem I'm having with it. Thus the "reservations".
David: After nearly a month with the E-30, I find that I have some reservations. It is no doubt quite a camera! It took me a week to figure out all the buttons and features, and another two weeks to feel comfortable with it. I have only been out in the field on a shoot with it once. The results are here: http://tinyurl.com/7vamovj
David, the correct lens name is 12-60 f2.8-4 SWD ED. There is only one version of the lens.
It is here!!!
