Are other brand four thirds lens suitable/usable on Olympus ? Specifically I have an E520. Can I use sigma or panasonic lenses ? Or do I have to specify that I want a four thirds lens with Olympus mount ?
Thanks

Permalink Reply by Jack Harwick on December 22, 2010 at 1:16pm The Sigma lenes are good especially the macro lens, however Olympus Glass is the best there is even compared to Cannon and Nikon so the Sigma are not going to be as good, but it depends what you want to use them for, I use the 10-20 and 18-50 Sigmas for landscape work, the 18-50 has also performed well for portraits, but this is not my area, I have only taken family shots with it. But you get what you pay for and the Sigma lens are much cheaper than the Olympus and on the E520 the Sigma lens will be very good. I hope this has been helpful and keep us posted with your choice of lens.

Permalink Reply by Ramasubramaniyan on January 24, 2011 at 8:06pm I have the Sigma 105mm f/2.8 macro and it is a very good lens.
I recently bought the 50-500mm lens for telezoom. It is good for its price, but you should note that it is a bit soft at 400-500mm.
Here are some photos taken with these lesnes
