Hi everyone. Anybody out here have this lens? I am wondering what you think of it? I am thinking about getting one for my wife.

Gregory,

For the money, it is a very hard lens to beat. The ED glass does it's job well and you will find that the images are quite sharp.  I use it exclusively for my butterfly, dragonfly and damselfly shots with great success. The out of focus (bokeh) is smooth and creamy, focus, while slow in low light, is accurate. Unless you are willing to spend a lot more, this lens should serve your wife well.

Thnks for the reply Dave. I have read some pretty good things about it. I (and she) know's that it is a little slow and loud, but if it is sharp and accurate we will be happy!
