Mary what a fanastic subject. This would be a place I would be going back to. I do think a bit more contrast would work and also the sky is not right. I did a little in PS as I immediately thought haunded house. Hope you like it.

I think the tree on the right is quite dominant and seems it is pushing the house away; this is made more significant with the house slightly tilted in the picture.

It may look better with the house framed upright and then including more of the scene on the left of the house and/or clipping part of the tree on the right.

It is spooky. I would work on the sky. Rachel's on the right track. Keep the color, though. Straighten the house a little. It looks like the tree limbs got cut out from the sky at the turret??
