The second photo is an all around better photo to me...

Hi WIll, the second one is 100% better because the first one has a large amount of loss of detail. All of that white space is where the image didn't record on the film. Most of us avoid highlight and shadow loss because it is so counter-photography. If you play with color balance in photo shop you'll see some nice effects on your clouds...just for fun, check it out :). Love picture # 2 great shot
