Ha Ha - very funny, certainly made me laugh when I opened it. I do wonder if perhaps just the one person at the back may have been slightly more effective. That way the illusion of someone being eaten would be there.....just my opinion though. If you want to entertain then you certainly have done that!
Great idea, if you have the equipment to do so I would suggest using to lights (one for the up front person and one for the back people) speed lights with an umbrella or something like that and then expose for the back ground.
I think this is called forced percpective,
i like the concept , nice work,
I think it would be better if you used a smaller aperture, made everything in focus , =]
To really pull this off you will have to use a wide angle lens probably of at least 20mm in a 35mm or 12mm with a 1.6x sensor. Then you need to stop down to about f/16 or smaller.
Here a friend is standing about 15 feet behind on a saw horse and the corn is nailed to another saw horse. A 19mm lens was used on a Canon T-90, using ISO of 400 (35mm film) with an aperture of around f/16. The focus zeroed in on the corn then slightly past using my DOF preview to ensure both objects were in focus. A tripod was used of course to limit hand shake and unpredictability in the result.
