I'm assuming from the title this is NOT your motorcycle. Therefore, some of what I suggest you shouldn't do.

1- Turn the handlebars so the headlight faces toward the camera. Makes a much better shot rather than the rear of the tire. Just be sure the light reflections from the windshield aren't overpowering.

2- You need a little bit of separation between the cycle and the dark background. It can be done via Photoshop but to get the best results you really should have an off-camera light source comming from slightly behind the cycle and from the left of the shot. This will give you some very nice highlights off the metal surfaces with corresponding separation.

This is a nice shot, but with these changes (IMHO) this will be a fantastic shot.

Nice bike!! Originally from the Isle of Man I like bikes.

I hadn't thought of the handlebar thing but sounds like a good idea (if it your bike or a friends). I find the lights in the background distracting from the bike as my eye is drawn to them so I would probably PS them out. But a nice moody feel to it - I like it!!
