Please help an amateur

How can I improve this picture? The motive is close to my home town and should be attractive to turists. The picture is taken at 8 am with a monopod.

I agree with the other comments regarding composition, subject, etc. for landscapes and attracting tourists. I disagree with the showing more sky though. It is roughly 2/3 land and I'm guessing the land is what you're trying to capture, with the sky as an accent? The image is not engaging. Maybe when you frame up your next shot, ask yourself what you're trying to say with the picture you're about to take.

As it is, however, I like the man in red; he contrasts with the sky and I find his jacket more interesting than when in blue. I like the texture of the grass and trees, the angles of the land, the shapes of the clouds... I'm just not sure what you're trying to show me.
