Good shot - composition, focus expression and exposure all are fine. The only thing i notice is the bright white area in the background on his shoulder attracts too much of my attention being so much brighter than the rest of the photo.
Thanks for the replies. I agree with you Jim about the big white spot. I took a colored picture and didn't see it in the shot, so I wasn't sure what it was. How do you suggest getting rid of it? Color it in or just clone it out?
Wow, that is a great face, great expression. I decided to Photoshop the white thingy out 'cause somebody mentioned it. Actually, it was not bothering me that much. Got a little carried away in Photoshop. Not sure it is an improvement, more like a bastardization, eh? What the heck, FWIW:
For a quick snap I think it is great. If you were taking more time I would try and get the eyes a little more and the background a little more nuetral.
Hi I'm new but I would say its a little too gray scale for my liking if you converted it after wards try next time or if you have the color version still you should try to desaturate first instead of the auto B&W conversion and then up the contrast and tweek the curves if you have a program where you can do that but its a great snappy =)
