Ervintha, this is a new experience for me. We were there at the same time and we were looking at the same sky. And see how different our approaches.
Very nice, thank you for posting your shot here!
My take on your girl. I de-sat a bit put highlights in the eyes to make them pop a little more and then cropped (although I don't thing that is necessary - just I am crop mad !!) - Hope you like
I think the saturation is fine. The sun's pretty harsh on her though with washed-out spots on the peaks of her cheeks. etc. I would change the format to a portrait instead of landscape. There's nothing interesting in the background to warrant a landscape format. You may be able to take out the dark angle pointing into the [viewer's] right side of her head. Maybe blend the color so she doesn't have it stabbing her hair. The background's pretty abstract and could handle adjustments. The left side is good and smooth except for the fuzzy tip of something. I like being able to see both shoulders. If you crop it a bit, I'd leave her shoulders (plus a little buffer space) balanced and both visible in the photo.
The photo makes me feel a bit anxious, maybe because she's in the glare of the sun, maybe because of her expression, maybe both. I like the highlights in her curls though, and for some reason, I like the pattern of her top.
