Permalink Reply by Larry Mayo on January 25, 2012 at 6:19pm Everything is centered but it kind of works here. You could have lowered your camera to the water level or just closer to the water to get a different perspective
I agree with the distractions on the side, otherwise, good pic.

I understand the desire to protect your creative work from duplication, but putting the sig in the middle like that kinda kills it for me... IMHO...

So, taking on board all of the comments, here's another image which I took (I didn't know I had this one), obviously with a little bit of cropping and post editing managed to bring out the best of the images I took while on holiday.
Permalink Reply by Roger Liss on January 26, 2012 at 8:34pm I'm new to this site; so feel free to ignore my comment or correct me. I double clicked on the image to get a view at full screen size. My first critical comment is that the image is too small for a detailed analysis. Keeping that in mind, I'll make a few suggestions. My personal preference would have been to crop to just below the bottom of the reflection. The additional negative space detracts from the shot. Secondly, I hate white skies. Depending on your software and skill level with manipulation, I probably would have isolated the sky and deepened the blue. Anyway, that's my story, and I'm stickin' with it.

Photoshop a different sky in there maybe??
@ Iain
do you not think that the reflection in the water would look a little odd if you composited in a new sky?
Of course you could use the 'Flaming Pear' flood filter to replicate a reflection of the new sky, but its useful to add this point..
What if you bring back the color of the sky from the first pic. It is dark at the top and fades as if approaches the buiding? That way it is not darker then the color off the pool reflection.
