The Photography Network - PictureSocial

Hi folks,

Just joined the site and group so thought I'd try to figure out how this works - hopefully I'm doing it correctly.  Is it correct that we start a "new discussion" if we want to upload a photo for group review?  Here are a couple that I recently took with a new Nikkor 105 macro lens (love this lens!)...

You can post either way, to me it makes no difference as long as we can see them.

These two shots are not bad but both have the same faults.

1. For insects try and use f/13, 16, 22.
2. Manually focus and rock forwards and backwards very slowly and take plenty of shots.
3. Use a monopod or tripod to help stablise the camera
4.Keeo ISO as low as possible but keep shutter speed as high as possible
5. Use f/2.8 to f/8 for pictures of flowers.

That will give you something to try

Buff-tailed Bumble Bee. Tamron 90mm f/2.8. I was on f/22. Speed 800 ISO 1200
