Fire and Ice

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.

One of my all time favorites ever since High School. As Fate would have it, in 93 I was sworn in as a Firefighter and simultaneously took a side job as a Zamboni driver at a local ice rink......soooooo...Fire & Ice became more relevant in my life. Oh, and by the way, it was 12 degrees the morning this picture was taken. Go figure!
