The Photography Network - PictureSocial

Today`s chat February 5th 2013 PICTURESOCIAL DAILY CHATTER AND PHOTO SHARING AND THEMES.

Good morning all.

This is the place for sharing photos and having a chat there will also be games and other ideas.

If you would like a critique or a suggestion on your image leave a note on the bottom of the photo.

Members who want to critique please be constructive and nice.

A photo will be featured once a week.

I will start looking through this week`s photos and on a Monday will post the featured photo and message members that their photo is to be featured,  but you will have to add me as a friend so I can message you.

Please note this is not a contest but just an appreciation of peoples work.

 Featured photo.

The featured photo from last week`s chatter is by Ina.

I like the emotion and the movement of the dancers also the placement of the young lady that is on the right thirds line, this has very good clarity with good depth of field on the rest of the image so we can see what it is but not to distract, nice and colourful too.

It was a difficult choice to make from last weeks chatter.

This a list for some more themes that TJ has found.

Each one on the list will be for a week.

Water drops suggested by Ina.

Selective colour suggested by Kathy.

An idea suggested by TJ called match this, is like when someone posts a photo we can see if we have a similar one, it is just for fun and not to compete.

More ideas and themes etc welcomed by any member, so let me know if any of you think of something.

This week`s theme is Water drops.

Also running along side the theme is An idea suggested by TJ called match this, is like when someone posts a photo we can see if we have a similar one, it is just for fun and not to compete.

Please feel free to post any other images you wish to share if you do not want to follow the ideas or games.

Thanks for reading this and for the comments on my images yesterday.

Nice capture and lighting.

Both of these are basically no editing but cropping.

This one has a harsher bokeh.

I hope this helps.

Thanks Glenn I have been reading about it think I am understanding more.

So people thinks that bokeh is the round things.

Love the colors in this one Glenn, great DOF

Nice capture the red goes nicely with the blue sky.

Thanks for showing some examples of bokeh.

Oh those round things are achived if there are bright spots or light in the background.

Here is a sample where the light is peeking through through leaves in the background.

My 85mm Nikon Marco lens does that when used as a standard lens they look like sequins of light  nice capture.

Nice capture of the delicate web.

Glenn is right about the term used for bokeh.

I like how the one water drop is in focus and the rest of the image is soft.
