The Photography Network - PictureSocial

Hi all.

I just wondered if anyone has any advice for a newbie when it comes to studio work.

I am setting up my spare room as a studio, in order to do portait work, in particular Boudoir photography.

I'll need to equip it, and would like advice as to whether I need to get 2/3 or 4 lights, & anything else which I may need.

I will also be looking for "models" to practice on when its set up - so if you are in the Southend on Sea area - ping me.

Thanks

Thanks to both of you for the answers.

I have a window in the room, but as I will be doing this along with my day job, I will only have evenings and weekends, and so will need lighting - I was thinking about getting 3 lights. This set seems to do everything - what are your thoughts?

You guys are using acronyms which I don't know - I wonder if you could tell me what they mean please *blushes*

I have lined up a couple of friends to practice on - just to get lighting etc set. And will get a release form for those who I intend to use to promote myself. or even if they come to me to have a set done. There seems to be quite a few on the web which I can adapt.

Time will tell, but I am hoping to be in a position in Feb to start practicing - and to be honest can't wait.
