Hello,

I am scheduled to do my first maternity shoot in a month. If weather and time allow, I would like to do both outdoor and indoor shots. I am bringing my reflector, softbox, stands and flashes. Does anyone have any tips on taking these kinds of photos? I've already met with the expecting parents so I have an idea of what they are comforatble with and what kind of shots they are looking for.

Thank you in advance.

Knowing what the client wants and capable of producing it is really all that's needed.  If you're shooting outside I would should during the golden hours, either 1 hour before sunset or 1 hour before sunrise.  Shooting during these times you can get great warm colors.
Thank you so much, Ken. We seem to have the same ideas for photos, so I'm confident that I can produce what she's looking for. I've called the location for the outdoor shoot to make sure we can get in there and take photos. They said it wasn't a problem so I'll try to get there early to set up so that we can get to shooting when the golden hour arrives. :-)
