You could rent one for a weekend just to see what you can get.
I think you'll find that mirror lenses are not as sharp as telephoto lenses.
If you're looking at long lenses, save up your money as the cheap ones are no where's near as good as the costly ones and you won't be happy with cheap. When you shoot with a long lens, keep in mind that you are looking through a lot of atmosphere that you will be compressing into the flat plane of your photo, that will be in front of the object you are photographing. So, you want to have the sharpest lense and the sharpest techniques to get good photos.© 2012 Created by PictureSocial.com.
