Tamron AF 17-50mm F/2.8 SP XR Di II VC (Vibration Compensation) Zoom Lens
Went back and forth between this one and the non-VC version. I ended up buying this one and am very pleased with it. One nice little surprise with this sweet lens is it's ability close focusing distance. Does anyone else have this one? What are your thoughts?

I do not have the vc version, but do have the non vc and really like it. I have heard from others that the vc version got kind of a bad knock with the early copies that were reviewed, but people that have bought them since say that their copies are just as sharp as their non vc.

Thats good to hear. The complaints on the early versions were what had me going back and forth between the two. I tried the VC version at the camera store and didn't see any problems so I took the chance. I did take one shot that showed some CA, but it was an isolated case.
