Comment by Paul Brooks on February 20, 2013 at 7:45pm: Mike, That appears to be an outflow or downdraft boundary. Cold air rushing down and out of a storm, and warm air rising over the top. These can sometimes turn into roll clouds if the sheer is strong enough.
