Hey everyone, I'll be shooting a Greek Orthodox wedding in the end of May. I have a program that I will follow that also explains the ceremony. I've also went on youtube.com and watched some wedding video...but anyone shoot one before and have any tips?
The great thing about a Greek Orthodox ceremony is that each of the significant rituals are almost exactly ten minutes apart from each other, perhaps not that important these days with digital cameras but in the days of film it gave the photographer ample time for a film or battery change during the ceremony.
If it was anything like the last one I did...prepare for a very long ceremony. Everything is done three times and once you are in the sacristy area you cannot just walk off and do something else. Unless things have changed in the past few years. That was my experience and I had to have my assistant sneak me loaded film backs.
