Fading Icons - Hong Kong: In the 1960's, Hong Kong icons known around the world were red-sailed junks

and the busy fleet of Star Ferries plying between Hong Kong Island and Kowloon.

By today, however, only a few "red-sailed junks" remain and even the Star Ferry is mostly used by tourists -- the bustling Hong Kong-ites are much too busy and they jump on a subway that crosses under the harbour by tunnel in a few minutes every few minutes day and night.

I imagine around the world other tourist icons are also fading. Why not post some of your examples of world travel icons that are becoming hard to find and photograph nowdays.
