Hi

I just sent a request for friendship on this forum after seeing "Country Road".I am a new member.

Your photograph takes me back to my childhood and the lonelyness I then felt. It could have been taken by my mother with her 6x9 Kodak after her sad divorce and rather heroic buying of a small country house in bad repair outside of Stockholm, Sweden.

I think she did this to add to her selfimage as a good mother. She collected her photographs in an album where they yellowed and the glue came apart.She knew noone in the vicinity and dit not allow anyone to know her.She was jealous of the few friends I made and wanted me for herself. For me the road from the hose led to nowhere.

Could I give a critique? Not really. Could a hardly perceptible colorvariation to the road, maybe cooler, add something?

Pretty. Very soft. Do you live in an area like this Deidre? I live in the L.A. area and you never really see scenes like this.
