Okay. I brought out the reds and yellow selectively in Adobe Lightroom before adding the gradation to the sky, but only as far as the mountains. The scene was fairly flat and the real color was the spot in the sky which was enhanced along with everything else. Once I figured out how to use the gradation tool in Lightroom I was able to do "burning and dodging" similar to the old print making days. OK. Now I want to turn around and go back to try that. I could not figure out how you got the blue and held the bit of yellow at the horizon.

Hi John, No filter. I shot this tungsten balanced and then adjusted the sky and ground with the gradation tool in Adobe Lightroom. Another one below:

I just came back yesterday from Death Valley. Did you use a split blue filter coming up from the bottom?
