Completely understand........the 55-200 is a decent lens but the 55-300 will definitely up the ante for you!!! Happy shooting!!!! :)

Hi Roger.......I used my 55-300mm lens for this shot and the egret was probably no more than 10 feet away from me. Most of the places I go for my egret shots the birds are accustomed to "people" being around them.....not sure whether that's good or bad but it certainly allows me to get some great shots without stretching the performance ability of my lens!! :)
