DUDE!! this is freaken awesome. nice shot. when i saw this i fist though you catured the picture just as the jet was breaking the sound barrier.. i dont know much about this kinda stuff but my brother is into it, i got to show him this picture. thanks for making my morning exciting, ha.

Yes, this is completely real. When conditions are right moisture builds up as the plane pushes through the air at high speed (approx. 500 mph here) causing vapor pockets to form. This shot was from an early morning practice session and there was still plenty of moisture in the air. This was very much a right place/right time capture.
"Nice photo. IMO I would have cropped off the right hand side where the electrical pole and cables are running using the rule of thirds. Too much wasted dead space in the front. Otherwise a great capture."
