Thank you Karlum. I always shoot in the field initially and then I will find a few samples to bring home and then I have a table with a piece of cloth that is pinned to the wall and then draped over the table. I usually use a single light (250w studio boom) and then I use small reflectors to bring back some of the light to the back side or underneath. I recently created a "holder" out of a popsicle stick, a clothes pin and a medicine bottle (lol) so that I can easily shoot from different angles.

This is a terrific series.  Well composed and lit and beautifully executed.  Did you use a black backgound that you took with you out into the field, or did you do this in  a home studio?
