Fernbridge at night east side

Sunday there was a celebration of the 100th anniversary of the building of this bridge over the Eel River near Ferndale, California. The bridge is not normally lighted, but I was told that it was to be lighted Sunday night between dusk and midnight. I set my tripod up on the river bar and was able to capture these images. (Olympus E3, f/2.8 12-60 mm lens, various exposure times.)

Thanks David, this is the only bridge on the Eel River that has not lost a span during the various floods over the past 100 years. They built this "queen of bridges" to last.

With the lighting, looks almost medieval................A knight will ride his horse under the bridge any moment.
