Yes, try photographing earlier in the day when there is still light and color in the sky. Be set up and ready to shoot because photographing during twilight, the optimum light doesn't last very long. Also the exposure value of the ambient light and the artificial light will be closer to retain detail in both areas.

White balance should be set on the sunlight icon because there is no way to color balance since there are so many different sources of light. I suggest trying different icons to see how the color changes your image. Once you do that, you'll have something to compare the images with and know what icon you like the best
