Iris in Violet
These iris were growing in my yard. I enjoyed looking at them so I took them back to my studio with the little blue vase. I used a violet gel on the background light and a 400 watt second flash through a 36 inch soft box to camera right and a white reflector to camera left for the bloom and the glassware. When photographing glassware look for the reflection of the light source and the fill reflector on the glass.

very very beautiful. WIth your description, one would think that the background blue and the blue of the vase and blue of the flower would really fight against each other....but they do not here. Lovely and beautiful.
