Hi all, I appreciate the kind comments - thank you. The exif data tells me I took the shot in September last year, at 6.40pm. I used my Canon 40D on a tripod of course, and the EF-S 17-85 lens. Focal length was 21mm, ISO 200, aperture f8, and exposure time 15 seconds. I love this type of shot and this particular one worked really well. The timing gave me some light in the sky, and the long exposure smoothed out the reflections in the water. This is one of my personal favourites.

nice one. great night shots are always a challenge that's why there aren't many of them. for most people there's just no motivation to go out at night or very early in the morning and wait until the sun comes up or comes down and take pictures just at the right time...:)
