the post processing was (using Adobe Photoshop)
•duplicated the original twice
•sent the blending mode of the top most layer to multiply then desaturate to almost black and white
•desaturated the middle layer but not so much..around -10
to -30
•masked out parts of the topmost layer that appeared to be too dark.
•copy merged
•applied dodge and burn to the merged layer
•unsharp mask using a low radius about 0.8 or 1 then play with the amount
