Comment by Michael on April 14, 2011 at 11:07am Hi Dan, some suggestions for you:
1. Use a longer lens to prevent distortion - so you may need a tripod to prevent camera shake.
2. This will also enable you to control DoF accurately.
3. Look for where the light is graduating - if necessary use a reflector to fill in.
4. New cuutlery is useful, to save you too much of a selection, cleaning and polishing job.
5. A light tent may also be useful in creating beautiful light - they tend not to be to expensive and are a good investment, they make life easy for smaller still-life sets.
Very competent work as usual, but hopefully these little tips will help you to take things up a notch...
Best wishes! Mike
