I was pleasantly surprised by the result. I thought that the lighting was bad as it was mostly flourescent predominantly coming from the top but I think the warm backligting helped. The classic Nikor 50mm from my wife's Nikon FE may have contributed to the wow factor. Despite using a crappy 8 mp Canon Rebel XT, the combination of the lens and the camera and providence all contributed to this shot.

Comment by Trish O' Donnell on February 26, 2013 at 5:49am cheers Claude B ... thanks for noticing and kind response. I think he may have seen me but didn't really care. The photo was cropped because I wanted to get rid of the two people he was talking to - the back of their heads didn't look photogenic (LOL). Maybe he thought I was shooting someone or something else.
Comment by Claude B. on February 25, 2013 at 7:44pm I like it "extremly" much.
Did he posed for you or you surprized him?
cheers Reg Warboys thanks for noticing

cheers Rafael Fajardo so kind of you ... thanks
Comment by Reg Warboys on February 15, 2013 at 3:29am Cracking sharp image, good lighting, he looks a strange colour, like he works in a chocolate factory.
Try croping the left side to make it a portrait mode, remove some of the distracting b/g + high lights behind his head then you would have a WOW image
