"Pink Granite Slab, Sandia Crest" As many of you know I am very "old school", film, developer, printing on real photographic paper, etc. however, my wife and I were in Albuquerque this last weekend and decided to ride the tram. The Sandia Mountains were magnificent and the light was magic. On the way down I place the lens of my handy dandy Canon 60D tightly against the plexiglass of the tram's gondola and made bunch of photographs. Much to my delight they are all much sharper than I'd have thought, and these would have been impossible with my 4x5's and film; "excuse me mister gondola operator, would you please pause here for a half hour while I get est up, etc". Ain't gonna happen, and since I haven't mastered the art of hovering with a 4x5; yet. It was the only solution. Very pleased though.
