This is one of those photographs that I look at and say; JEEZ I wish I'd done that. I live in cow country and this is as well done as it can be. Let's talk about why. 1. The palette. You've selected the perfect palette. Most folks would have gone for super saturated colors; yours are muted just the right amount. Next the angus calves fill the frame left to right at just the right amount. 3. The sky is believable without a bunch of cheezy filters. 4. It has the feeling of being gritty. Working cows is a dirty gritty nasty business and you;ve captured just the right balance of all the elements. 5. You've placed the cowman in a heroic pose. He is a hero; he feeds the world.
