I was up quite early as usual and all that was on TV were infomercials, so I decided to head down the road to watch the sunrise. I’m glad I did as there were no clouds in the sky and the colours were phenomenal, slowly changing in depth every minute. Plus it gave me a really good chance to test my new Canon camera that I had bought 2-days prior, the previous days had been full of rain so the clear skies were a pleasant surprise.
I was the only one around at that time of the morning, well apart from a few ducks and seagulls. Fortunately the tide was right in (very still too), and I used the small mangrove tree as a silhouette, which also reflected off the still water nicely.
Reminded me of a quote I heard a while ago: “We can only appreciate the miracle of a sunrise if we have waited in the darkness”.
There’s really not a lot to say about this shot as it pretty much speaks for itself, but it was another really nice start to the day. It seemed to warm up as the sun came up from behind the hills, so my fingers managed to thaw out fairly quickly, lol.
Thanks for viewing.
