Thanks, Andrea!! Two things made this photo possible: 1) overcast sky (helped with balancing the light) and 2) polarizing filter (removed the reflections on the water/rocks) ... also I used a slow shutter speed (4 seconds) to get the water to look "silky" like that.

The photo was taken near Hood River, in Oregon (US). A beautiful area with tons of waterfalls. and, the water really is that color (atleast it was for this stream).
